The invention relates to a small vehicle, particularly a wheel
chair, having a modular structure including a main component, at
least one pivotable wheel which is adapted to be detachably mounted
at said main component via a quick release device, at least one
driving wheel adapted to be detachably mounted at said main component
via a quick release device and a seat component which is adapted
to be detachably mounted at said main component via a quick release
device. The main component comprises a main body to which four arms
for supporting the wheels are springably coupled. The quick release
devices between said main component and said wheels are disposed
between said arms and said wheels, respectively.
Covers for a grip ring of a wheel chair are disclosed. According
to certain embodiments of the invention, a two-piece cover is provided.
The two-piece cover includes a soft, resilient inner pad and an
outer sleeve enclosing the inner pad. According to other embodiments
of the invention, a one-piece cover is disclosed. The one-piece
cover includes a soft, resilient inner pad and an outer layer permanently
attached to the inner pad. Both the one-piece and two-piece covers
can be easily removed from or installed on the grip ring. The covers
according to the present invention fit securely over wheelchair
grip rings, providing a cushioned, enlarged gripping area for the
wheelchair user. The covers improve the performance, feel and safety
of grip rings.
A raising wheel chair includes a raising frame with a lever parallelogram
to maintain a backrest upright both in sitting and standing position
of the user. A lever provides a movement of the backrest in such
a way that no movement between the backrest and the body of the
user takes place when a change from sitting to standing or lying
takes place.
A crib is sized to permit the legs of a wheel chair bound care
giver to fit beneath the bed. The access side of the crib is equipped
with at least one laterally opening door which folds out of the
way to provide access to the infant. More preferably, the access
side of the crib is formed by a pair of bi-fold doors which are
secured by a pair of latches which are resistant to operation by
anyone other than the caregiver. |
