A wood floor assembly includes wood floors, joint bases, soft pads,
and U-shaped clips. The wood floor has a first elongated side protruded
with an insertion flange, and a second elongated side recessed with
an insertion groove. The insertion flange has a bottom edge recessed
with a first insertion snap groove, and the insertion groove has
a bottom edge recessed with a second insertion snap groove. The
joint base has a first side protruded with an insertion block and
a second side recessed with an insertion recess. The joint base
has a top face protruded with a first locking plate and a second
locking plate. The first locking plate is formed with a first locking
hook portion and a second locking hook portion. The U-shaped clip
is clamped and positioned two adjacent joint bases.
A method of finishing a wood floor comprising a first step of applying
an aqueous polar solvent for a sufficient period of time to allow
removal of a portion of any existing stains and soils and to at
least partially etch the surface of an existing finish. A second
step of applying an aqueous rinse to flush at least a substantial
portion of any residue formed in the first steps and a third step
of applying a water based finish and allowing it to dry.
A portable, dust collection system for collection of wood dust
generated in a wood floor sanding operation, the system comprising
a plurality of portable blower motors comprising the primary static
pressure generator positioned in series between the sanding tools
and the collection container, this system having a plurality of
collection hoses of increasing diameter between the sanding tools
and the primary static pressure generator with intermediate blower
motors positioned between the hoses where diameters increase, sanding
tools having skirts for position thereon in distal proximate contact
with the floor such that all dust is collected by the system.
